The United Way of Union County has given a $5,000 grant to Wings Support and Recovery for basic computer training for consumers striving to enter the workforce. Wings is a non-profit peer support center focused on assisting people who are dealing with mental health or addiction issues. The non-profit is one of a limited number of Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities providers in the county and the only one which provides vocational training. The start-up program will provide 60 hours of computer training, with a focus on basic Windows and Microsoft office skills that are routinely used in business settings.
