The United Way of Union County is celebrating nearly $930,000 raised this year. According to a release, this year’s fund drive success was the result of “Union County’s help, support and donations.” The United Way said it was able to provide almost 14,000 books to more than 1,100 pre-school-aged students in Union County and nearly 25,000 meals to local pantries. The Memorial Meals Program provided about 84,000 more meals for nearly 4,564 residents.
