According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at 10:11 a.m. Monday morning, a black 2017 Ford Edge, driven by Jason Windfield, of Kenton, hit a broken down 2010 International Harvester truck on Route 31, near Cunningham Arbela Road, in West Mansfield. The truck was owned by Advanced Underground Inspection LLC, was pulled off to the side of the road. Windfield’s vehicle struck the rear of the truck, traveled left of center and struck a culvert, fence and utility pole. Windfield was cited for failure to maintain control. Officers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Union County Sheriff’s Office and firefighters from Southeast Hardin and Northwest Union Fire Department responded to the accident, but no injuries were reported from the crash.
