Betsy Dott Pelfrey, 66, peacefully entered life eternal on June 8, 2017, after fighting a brave four-year battle with cancer with her customary deep faith, strength, and grace.
She was a graduate of Ball State University and a former supervisor of children’s social service agencies in Lexington, Kentucky and Dayton, Ohio.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Tim of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son Todd (Kristen) Pelfrey, New Haven, Indiana, daughter Tess (Justin) Ocean, Louisville, Kentucky, and grandchildren, David, Annie, and Elliott and great-grandchild Meredith.
She is also survived by her mother Mable Myers of Hillsboro, Indiana, sister Brenda (Joe) Cook, Indianapolis, Indiana, and sisters-in-law Lois (Jim) Chaney of West Chester, Ohio, Carol (Denny) Valerius of Alexandria, Kentucky, and Brenda (Bill, deceased) Pelfrey, Union, Kentucky.
She was predeceased by her father Max Myers of Hillsboro, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, with calling one hour before and burial to follow the following day at Phanuel Lutheran Church cemetery, Wallace, Indiana.
