Betty L. Shankle Farra, 91, of Milford Center, died early Thursday morning, July 27, 2017, at Memorial Gables.
She was a beautician for more than 20 years in Worthington. As a woman of faith, she was a member of Trinity Chapel in Milford Center. She enjoyed bowling in her spare time. As a baseball enthusiast, she was a huge Cincinnati Reds fan, and she thoroughly enjoyed watching her great-grandson play baseball.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1926, in Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Blanche Toy Klingensmith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harold F. Shankle; second husband, Floyd R. Farra; and a son, Michael J. Shankle.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Betty J. Shankle of Milford Center; her grandson and his wife, Jeffrey M. and Pamela Shankle of Milford Center; step-great-grandchildren, Abbie and Nathan Farra, Heather, Joshua, Kristen and Cameron Shankle; and her step-son and his wife, Greg and Marsha Farra of Grove Port.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ingram Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Farra will officiate graveside services at noon Monday at Letart Falls Cemetery, in Letart.
