Carol A. Shoemaker Foughty, 60, of Rushsylvania, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
She attended Goshen Friends Church in Zanesfield and was employed by lumenomics, formerly Inside Outfitters, for 10 years.
She was a 1975 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, and also graduated from Lima Tech/Rhodes State with an associate’s degree in accounting.
She enjoyed her church, scrapbooking, antiques, crafting and minions. She enjoyed volunteering for Pan-Ohio Hope Ride with the American Cancer Society. She was known for her lasagna and carrot cake.
She was born June 14, 1957, in Bellefontaine, the daughter of the late Claude and Hester Shoemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Craft.
She is survived by her husband, David L. Foughty, whom she married July 7, 2006; son, Pat (Betsy) Price; brother, Robert (Darla) Shoemaker; step-sons, Jeremiah (Laurie) Foughty, John (Laura) Foughty, Jonah Foughty and Timothy Foughty; former daughter-in-law, Tonya (James) Anderson; grandchildren, Bryant Newman, Emma Newman, Hunter Lee, Dakota Price, Skyler Price, Haley Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Mylez Anderson and Amalia Foughty; great-grandchildren Lincoln Newman and Eleanor Newman.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon, Friday, at the Goshen Friends Church, 5527 County Road 153, Zanesfield. The Rev. Wayne Downing will officiate a memorial service at noon Friday.
