Carrol McIntosh, 98, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living in Marysville.
He was a lifetime farmer and an associate at O.M. Scott and Sons for more than 27 years, where he was a supervisor in Trionized Process. He was a member of the Scotts 20-Year Club.
As a graduate of Byhalia York High School, he was a life parishioner of the Shiloh Chapel Evangelical Friends Church, a longtime Sunday school teacher and a member.
He was passionate about spending time with his grandchildren and, for 40 years, hosted Saturday dinners for his family. He was drafted in the United States Army prior to World War II and served throughout the war.
He was born on April 20, 1919, in West Mansfield, to the late Fredrick Pearl and Bessie Bird McIntosh. He was also preceded in death in 2006 by his wife, Celesta Nichols McIntosh; an infant son, Kevin; his siblings, Dallas McIntosh, Phillip McIntosh and Nelva Davis; a grandson, Michael Williams; and a daughter-in-law, Deb Russell McIntosh.
He is survived by two daughters, Carole McIntosh and Jan Williams, both of Marysville; his son, Steven F. McIntosh of Plain City; seven grandchildren, Eric (Jenn) Hanselman, Niki (Karyne Kuzawski) Hanselman, Aaron (Angela) Hanselman, Amy (Dana) Clay, Leigh Williams, David McIntosh and Diana McIntosh; seven great-grandchildren, Sean, Casey, Abe, Eli, Amber, Danyelle and Madison; a great-great-grandson, Caleb; a sister-in-law, Theresa DeLong; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Underwood Funeral Home, where the Rev. James Davis will officiate funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment will be at Oakdale Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Union County Military Funeral Honor Guard.
