Elise Annetta Hnath McCoy, 48, of Marysville, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, as a result of an automobile crash.
An advertising sales professional, she received her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. She was an animal rights activist and advocate and had a special love for her pet dog, Blu.
She was born on June 19, 1969, in Jersey City, New Jersey, the daughter of Joan Pedersen Hnath and the late Robert F. Hnath. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Laurence Hnath.
She is survived by her partner, Jim McCoy; close friend, Barry Anderson; children, Alec Stephen McCoy, Ella Grace McCoy and Aidan James McCoy; brother, Steve (Michelle) Hnath of Reading, Pennsylvania; niece, Brianna Hnath; nephew, Sean Hnath; aunt, Dolores Sepanski of New Jersey; and cousin, David (Tiffany) Sepanski.
A memorial gathering will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Underwood Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used for her children’s educational fund.
