Jean Y. Wolford, 78, of Marysville, died peacefully Sunday morning, July 23, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family.
As a graduate of Zanesville High School, she was a loving homemaker, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, and she briefly worked in home healthcare. She was an avid animal enthusiast and enjoyed crafts, crocheting, sewing, traveling and shopping.
She was born on June 1, 1939, in Zanesville, to the late John B. and Dorothy L. (Adams) Calihan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Rognon, in 1980; sons, Charles Darin and Terry L. Rognon; grandson, Derek Rognon; brother, Palmer Calihan; and sister, Shirley Calihan.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Wolford, whom she married on Dec. 7, 1989; children, Mike (Pam) Rognon of Marysville, Tami (Terry) Farmer of Marysville and Jim Wolford of Kentucky; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Roberta “Bobbie” Calihan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; her dear friend Liz Corbin; and her caregiver, Tina.
It is requested there will be no calling hours or services held at this time and inurnment will be held at a later date at Zanesville Memorial Park in Zanesville. Arrangements are being handled for the family by Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel.
