Jeremy A. Long, 44, of Plain City, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 12, 2017, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
He was a 2002 graduate of the The Ohio State University who majored in history, political science, international studies and anthropology. He was an avid reader of history texts and was able to find that he was related to Jonathan Alder. He was a consummate history buff who specialized in pirates and internet games.
He was born on March 17, 1973, in Marysville, the son of Jerry and Debra (Berry) Long of Plain City.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Doris M. (Gansheimer) Berry Jr. and Frank and Alice (Woodruff) Long.
He is survived by his brother, Adam M. (Mia) Long of Plain City; nieces, McKinzee and Madison; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends and family from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St., Plain City. The Rev. Bud Mulford will officiate a funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City. Food and fellowship will be after the burial at Christian Life Church, 221 S. Chillicothe St., Plain City.
