Michael “Elmer” Blevins, 67, of Waverly, died Saturday, May 13, 2017, after a long illness.
He was a 1968 graduate of Waverly High School and later became an electrician by trade. He served his apprenticeship at the former Goodyear Atomic Energy Plant in Piketon, and used his skills at O.M. Scotts Co. in Marysville and the Kentucky Power Plant in Ashland, Kentucky.
Not only was he a loving son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and friend, he was also a man of creative talent and varied interests and hobbies. He was born on March 13, 1950, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to Donald L. Blevins, who is deceased, and Martha V. Cristlip Blevins, who survives.
