LATHAM
Richard “Casey” Latham, also known as “Ricky Bobby,” 30, of North Lewisburg, died unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 20, 2017. He graduated from Triad High School in 2006 and from Ohio Hi-Point Career Center. He worked with his father and brother in commercial fencing. When he wasn’t working, he was always socializing and enjoyed spending time with his friends and their children, whom he loved dearly. He could often be found lending a helping hand to fix a car or work on a construction project. He enjoyed watching comedy movies with his family, especially his favorite movie, “Talladega Nights.” A jokester, he was playful and had a great sense of humor, always having a quick-witted remark or comeback to share. He enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes play football and listening to music. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was born on Sept. 11, 1987, in Springfield, to Richard Nelson and Jamie Faye (Farquer) Latham. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Latham, and his aunt, Mary Victoria Casto. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Ryan Anthony Latham; maternal grandparents, Paul and Adrienne Hutzel; paternal grandmother, Shirley Latham; aunts, Margaret Nolte, Jeri (Brad) Cushman, Jodi Hutzel (Ray Moon) and Patty (Randy) Piper; uncle, Jimmy (Marsha) Farquer; and several cousins, many special friends and dogs, Moe and Chloe. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Freshwater, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home in North Lewisburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.
