The Jonathan Alder High School boys golf team won the annual Union County Classic at Marysville Golf Club on Saturday.
The Pioneers took the championship with a team score of 323.
Fairbanks shot a 327 and Marysville carded a 337.
Mychael McKelvey led the Pioneers with a 77, followed by Tyler Hilbert-78, Giuseppe Petrella-82 and Zach Otto-86.
A pair of Panthers had highlights during the match.
Justin Brackenridge was the medalist with a 76.
Aidan Wilson, who carded an 82, had a hole-in-one on No. 2.
Seth Payne shot an 81, followed by Travis Brake-88, Logan Bocsy-92 and Cross Hackathorne-101.
Scoring for the Monarchs were Dylan Tremayne-78, Chris Borjas-80, A.J. Fisher-86 and Sameer Parashar-93.
Girls invitational held
Olentangy Liberty won the MHS girls invitational at Darby Creek with a score of 307.
The Patriots were followed by Upper Arlington-322, Pickerington North-339, Dublin Coffman-342, Gahanna-347, Newark Catholic-347, Fairbanks-374, Canal Winchester-379, Hilliard Davidson-387, Hilliard Bradley-402, Marysville-407, Pickerington Central-424 and Worthington Kilbourne-433.
Audrey Brackenridge led Fairbanks with an 83, followed by Natalie Parker-87, Emily Wilson-94, Rachel Studenmund-110 and Allison Kise-123.
Katie Bischoff led Marysville with an 86, followed by Maddie Powers-103, Olivia Ishmael-105, Olivia Virts-115 and Faith Engle-116.
