The Bunsold girls and boys cross-country teams won team championships on Saturday at the Nance Fall Classic in London.
The girls tallied 24 points and the boys finished with 27.
“The athletes ran hard and showed their power and determination up the final hill and down to the final sprints,” said coach Gordon Kunkler. “Very few times were we outkicked in the final half-mile. That is something of which we are very proud.”
The girls race came down to the final 50 meters as Madison Sundquist passed Bryn Hothem in the final few feet to win in 13:05 on the difficult course.
Sean Schultz went out with the leader for the first mile of the boys race and gave him all that he wanted, according to Kunkler.
Schultz was second in 12:04, which was the top Bunsold boys time of the season by 18 seconds.
