There has been no change at the top after four weeks of the Pigskin Pickers race.
The huddle buddies of Mac Cordell and Tim Miller are still duking it out for the top spot at 28-11 overall. The real mix-up this week came in the form of who can stumble to the bottom of the pack the fastest. Sam Dillon tumbled down after a 5-6 week to join Will Channel in the basement with a 24-15 record.
Kevin Behrens slipped two games behind the top spot with a 26-13 record and Chad Williamson is sitting comfortably in the middle of the pack but one game out of the basement at 25-14.
In this week’s local games, the majority of the teams will be on the road, while Marysville will tackle Olentangy at home and Triad hosts Cedarville. Williamson will stay put in town to cover the Monarchs, while Miller will make the trip over to North Lewisburg to watch the Game of the Week as the Cardinals try to capture their first win of the season.
Cordell will travel out of town with Fairbanks as the Panthers take on Southeastern. Dillon will go on the road with Jonathan Alder as the Pioneers take on Indian Lake.
This weeks guest pickers are Dave Laslow, Kevin Truitt, Dave Cook and Bob VanHoose.

Disclaimers
Williamson: “Ok, I know I was looking for Triad to win last week and they just couldn’t quite get over the hill. They have got to beat Cedarville, right? I was all set to pull the trigger on Marysville to win again this week and then Olentangy bumps off Dublin Coffman. Coffman hadn’t allowed a point in three games and the Braves blew them out. But also Grove City kept it close with Olentangy, so who knows?”
Miller: “Triad disappointed me a couple of weeks ago against Springfield Catholic Central. I feel the Cardinals will earn their first victory of the season this week.”
Behrens: “Cordell’s favorite saying is he is the most interesting YOU know, however, we are not sure that helps him in the Pickers race. Let’s see if he can get his head on straight and finish in first place because the competition is starting to crack under the pressure. Defending champ Dillon has been scratching his head all week trying to figure out if he has the sophomore jinx or he just really doesn’t know what he is doing. We think it’s the latter.”
Cordell: “I am in on Fairbanks. They knocked off a good Madison-Plains team last week at home and hopefully this is the launching pad to a bounce-back season. Like my fellow pickers, I am hoping this is Triad’s week. An “L” hosting Cedarville and the wheels could really come off. As for the pro games, there seems like there should be some way to send the Colts-Browns game to England…or Mexico…or Siberia…anywhere they can’t stream live television to or from.”
Channell: “I didn’t have time to withdrawal cash to get Jon Alder’s coffee, so I’ll review the Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks I had on the way there. It was fine. It wasn’t coffee, per se, but it certainly had a good amount of caffeine. Like always, however, I felt a bit nauseous by the time I was finished with it. 7/10, got the job done.”
Dillon: “I don’t know what I am doing. Give me a blindfold and a dartboard, maybe that will work out for me. North Union seems to be road warriors this year. Maybe they keep up the trend and break above .500.”
Cook: “Good luck to our local teams. Marysville is looking great!”
Laslow: “Go Bucks!”
Truitt: “Go Bucks!”
Van Hoose: “Go Bucks!”
