The Fairbanks High School varsity volleyball squad and Major League Baseball’s Cleveland Indians have a lot in common these days.
Both teams are standing head-and-shoulders above the competition.
Just like the Indians have won 22 consecutive games, the Lady Panthers improved their streak to 11 matches on Thursday with a three-set victory over Cedarville.
The win kept Fairbanks with a perfect record this season, including an 8-0 mark in the Ohio Heritage Conference.
The Indians, who took a 7-2 record into the contest, proved to be a pesky opponent. FHS won by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-18.
“This was a good match for us heading into our invitational on Saturday,”
