An outstanding season continues for the Fairbanks High School girls golf team as they won the Ohio Heritage Conference tournament this week.
The Lady Panthers captured the championship with a team score of 354. They also won the league regular-season title.
Emily Wilson led FHS with a 79, followed by Audrey Brackenridge-81, Natalie Parker-89, Rachel Studenmund-105, Allison Kise-114 and Shelby Jones-135.
Wilson, Brackenridge and Parker earned first-team OHC honors.
Studenmund was named to the second team.
Triad’s girls placed fourth during the tournament and also finished fourth in the final conference standings. They shot a 460 for the tournament.
Leading Triad was Kayleigh Boldman with a 97, which placed sixth in the tournament and earned her second-team OHC honors. She was followed by Lexi Moore with a 113 (second team), Olivia Butz with a 123 and Anna Nott with a 127.
Monarchs fall
Marysville’s boys varsity golfers dropped a 150-173 decision to Columbus Academy on Tuesday.
A.J. Fisher led the Monarchs with a 41, followed by Dylan Tremayne-42, Gavin Cossette-44 and Chris Borjas-46.
Cardinals defeated
Triad’s boys were defeated by West Jefferson, 170-201.
Creighton Bradley led the Cardinals with a 46, followed by Jacob Greve-51, Hunter Talbot-51 and Devin Butz-53.
Bunsold places second
The Marysville middle school girls finished second during a tri-match.
Upper Arlington Jones won with a 185, Marysville shot a 187 and Upper Arlington Hastings finished with a 203.
Cassi Van Dyke of Bunsold was medalist with a 39. She was followed by Avery Prohaska-45, Emily Williams-47 and Catie Johnson-56.
