Marysville’s varsity tennis team won its final regular season match of the season on Wednesday.
The Lady Monarchs scored a 4-1 verdict over Delaware Hayes.
Grace Larriuz won a 2 ½-hour marathon match, 7-6, 6-4, at second singles.
“There were many great rallies and points won by Grace during this match,” said MHS coach Bill Romine.
Other match results were as follows:
Singles
-Anne Grimm beat P. Knipp 6-1, 6-3;
-Lauren Markert downed G. Martin 6-0, 6-0.
Doubles
-Kylie Wells/ Caroline Geraghty defeated E. Johnson/ E. Riggs 6-1, 6-1;
-Julia Shade/ Ellie Williams fell to S. Midura/ S. Ishtar 2-6, 3-6.
The Lady Monarchs finished the regular season with an 8-11 record.
