The Lady Monarch tennis team captured the River Valley Quad Tournament on Saturday.
“All the ladies battled through the first round, winning all the courts in the eight-game pro-set and then getting into the finals,” said MHS coach Bill Romine.
Marysville won all five positions during the finals.
Scoring for the Monarchs were:
-First singles: Anne Grimm-won 8-2 in the first round; won the finals 6-0, 6-0;
-Second singles: Grace Larriuz-won first round 8-2; won the finals 7-5, 6-4;
-Third singles: Lauren Markert-won first round 8-0; won the finals 6-0, 6-0;
-First doubles: Lydia Romine and Kylie Wells-won first round 8-5; won the finals 7-5, 6-2;
-Second doubles: Julia Shade and Caroline Geraghty-won first round 8-6; won the finals 7-5, 6-4.
Teams in tournament were Bucyrus, River Valley, Mansfield and Marysville.
