Marysville High School’s cross-country runners fared well during the Pickerington North Classic on Saturday.
The Lady Monarchs placed as runner-up to Mt. Gilead, while the boys were fourth in their race.
The MHS girls tallied 90 points, while Mt. Gilead finished with 54.
Marysville’s Jacquelyn Witt was the third-best girls runner with a time of 6:16.3.
Other Lady Monarchs in the top 20 were Morgan Forney, 13th in 6:40.5 and Katie Krueger, 17th in 6:43.1.
Marysville’s boys placed fourth in the 25-team field with 156 points.
The top three squads were Gahanna-38, Mt. Gilead-101 and Rock Hill-141.
Monarch results in the top 20 were as follows: Ian Dye, 13th, 5:39.4 and Hayden Turk, 15th, 5:40.9.
North Union’s boys were 10th with 303 points.
Adam Brown was the Wildcats’ top finisher with a 36th-place spot of 5:47.3.
Fairbanks’ boys were 22nd with 585 points.
The Panthers’ top runner was Aidan Groves, 87th in 6:04.7.
North Union’s Kamryn Rhodes finished in the girls top 20 with an 11th-place clocking of 6:36.4.
North Union was 15th with 411 points.
Fairbanks’ girls placed 21st with 525 points.
The top Lady Panther was Adeline Fitzwater, who was 89th in 7:23.3.
