The Marysville Stingrays upped their COSA league record to 2-0 on Saturday with victories over Highland Park, the Otters, Sycamore Hills, Plain Township Swim & Dive and the Plain Township Gators.
Scores for the meet were as follows:
Marysville-626, Highland-349, Plain Township Swim & Dive-88, Plain Township Gators-41 and Sycamore Hills-13.
There were no relay races during the meet, only individual events.
The Stingrays finished with 30 first-place efforts out of the 44 events.
There were 25 second places and 26 third-place finishes.
The top performers for the squad were Aron Moledor, Molly Gregory, Aiden Moore, Gabe Filbert and Olivia Myers. They each took first-place finishes in all three of their individual races.
Other first-place finishers were Jorja Ary, Brady Cordonnier, Patrick Filbert, Reese Cordonnier, Trevor Marlatt, Jason Moore, Ava Goertz, Dorin Lawless, Morgan Grawe, Mikayla Seman, Emily Rodenhausen and Kaleigh Dougherty.
“The coaching staff and I are so proud of all of our swimmers this year,” said head coach Kristen Williams. “They never give up and are always ready for the next race.
“Our first-year swimmers are improving so much and have moved on to knowing three out of the four strokes. It has been such a great season for only being a few weeks in.”
