The Triad Lady Cardinals volleyball team swept the Hillclimbers of Urbana in three sets, 25-18, 25-19, 25-23 on Wednesday.
Bri Eaton and Tori Thomas each attacked the net for six kills apiece, while Kiki Zizzo dished the ball for 11 assists.
Kendall Hughes and Thomas helped keep the floor clean with 33 combined digs.
Triad will return to action today to take on Mechanicsburg.
King leads FHS
Megan King had 14 kills on Tuesday during Fairbanks’ 3-1 victory at West Jefferson.
Kelsey Thorbahn served 11 points.
The Lady Panthers will host Northeastern today.
Bunsold squads split
Bunsold Middle School’s Blue volleyball teams split decisions with Dublin Karrer on Wednesday.
The eighth grade won 25-8, 25-18.
Madison Fluharty led the team with 10 aces. Peyton Ingle and Chloe Karen both added six aces. Kaiti Palmer led the team with four digs, while Jillian Gardner, Carys Gossett and Karen each tallied four attacks.
The seven grade fell by scores of 25-12, 21-25, 23-25.
Rylee Dundon finished with four aces, while Morgan Shick and Natalie McNicholas both contributed three.
Bella Fox and McNicholas led the team with 10 digs each, while Dundon added eight digs. Morgan Shick had four attacks.
