Dear Editor:
Union County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Ohio, and the Fairbanks Local School District has experienced that growth firsthand. The district is running out of space, and the current middle/school high school is more than 50 years old.

Dear Editor,
The Fairbanks Board of Education has placed a 7.45 mill ($35.5M) bond issue on the Nov. 8 ballot. This will fund the construction of a new 6-12 Middle/High School and a four classroom Elementary School addition. The existing high school gym and cafeteria will be repurposed to a MS competition gym and board offices. All district activities, including softball but excluding the bus garage, will be consolidated on one campus, and we will gain a fourth gym and an auditoria/cafetorium.
The successful passage of this bond issue is of significant importaChip Hubbs

Dear Editor,
As many of you know, there is a 7.45 mill ($35.5M) bond levy that will be on the ballot this November for the Fairbanks School District. This levy will be used to fund the construction of a new 6-12 grade building and expand the current elementary school.
Lisa Adkins
President, Fairbanks Board of Education

Dear Editor,
Nov. 8 will be one of the most important elections to date, nationally and locally. Fairbanks Schools is asking to build a new middle school, new high school and to construct an addition to the existing elementary school. Why? Because we are growing beyond the capacity of the 1978 constructed middle school and the 1961 constructed high school, and beyond the capacity of our fairly new elementary school.

Chair, Fairbanks Bond Committee

Dear Editor,
The Nov. 8 ballot will be one marked with controversy, however, I would like to take a moment to express support for our local school district – Fairbanks. Our family built a new home in this charming rural district nearly three years ago. With three active children in the district, our family continues to interface with many of the fine administrators, board members, teachers, supportive faculty and students. We are proud to be Fairbanks Panthers! We are also publicly in support of the 2016 levy, having participated in both the community meetings and online surveys.
