Freshman pitches Triad to victory

Freshman pitcher Batai Lease threw a one-hit shutout on Wednesday as Triad’s baseball team blanked Mechanicsburg, 8-0.
The Cardinals backed him with 12 hits, including three each from Briley Harlan and Austin Bails.
Lease and Logan McCoy each finished with two.
