Church to host ice cream social

The Springdale Baptist Church will be hosting an ice cream social Saturday beginning at 5 p.m.

Chicken and noodles, sandwiches and ice cream will be served at the event. It will take place at the church, on Route 36 to Springdale Road.

There is no cost to attend, but there will be a free will offering...

End of an era for Gray-Court Building

Men and horses are pictured outside the Gray-Court Building at 303 S. Main St. in Marysville in this historic photograph. The building was constructed in 1907 by G.W. Court and Albert Gray, who operated a buggy and implement business and blacksmith shop on the first floor. The second floor originally served as an amusement hall for roller skating, dancing, basketball and other activities. The nearly 120-year-old building, which most recently housed a Goodwill store, is now slated for demolition. (Photo submitted)
