Fifty years ago Friday the homes of residents went dark about 7:40 p.m. when a tornado with 80 mph winds hit Marysville and most of southern Union County.

Marysville High School’s boys bowling team has advanced to the Division I state tournament. The state tournament will be held March 6-7 at HP Lanes in Columbus.
