NU squad hands Riders first loss

North Union handed West Jefferson its first softball loss of the season, downing the Roughriders (6-1) 7-2 at West Jefferson.

The Lady Cats (10-1) put the game away with a four-run sixth inning.

Reese DeCamp allowed just five hits while striking out eight. She did not issue a base on balls.
