MHS spikers sweep Hayes

Marysville’s varsity volleyball team executed its game plan and swept Delaware Hayes during a recent match.

The Lady Monarchs (5-8) toppled the Lady Pacers by scores of 25-20, 25-16, 26-24.

The Monarchs were led by Caitlin Rigel, who had nine kills, eight assists and 15 digs.

Above is what remains of the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado that caught fire as a result of a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 33 Wednesday morning. The driver of the Chevrolet, Dejuan R. Meek, is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, but was not issued charges since he was quickly transported to a Columbus-area hospital with significant injuries.
