Fairbanks-Pleasant game halted due to medical emergency

Fairbanks’ boys basketball game at Pleasant had to be halted before its completion.

The game stoppage was due to a medical emergency for one of the officials shortly before halftime.

The official was reportedly alert when EMTs took him from Pleasant High School to a hospital.

Above is what remains of the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado that caught fire as a result of a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 33 Wednesday morning. The driver of the Chevrolet, Dejuan R. Meek, is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, but was not issued charges since he was quickly transported to a Columbus-area hospital with significant injuries.
