Monarch, Jonathan Alder grapplers place fifth, 12th at Liberty Classic

Marysville’s and Jonathan Alder’s boys wrestling teams had several athletes in finals matches during the 2024  Olenttangy Liberty Classic.

A total of 36 high school programs took part in the early regular-season tournament.

Marysville earned 184 team points and placed fifth.

Alcohol believed to be a factor in fiery U.S. 33 crash

Above is what remains of the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado that caught fire as a result of a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 33 Wednesday morning. The driver of the Chevrolet, Dejuan R. Meek, is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, but was not issued charges since he was quickly transported to a Columbus-area hospital with significant injuries.
