MHS Alumni Association to disband after 140 years

Before there were cars, airplanes or even Edison’s lightbulb, Marysville High School had an alumni association.

Started in 1879 by five members of the first graduating class of MHS, the organization met for 140 years, uninterrupted, until the banquet was derailed by the COVID pandemic in 2020.

Tornado sirens installed in Jerome, Millcreek townships

The Jerome Township Fire Department recently took lead on a project to install four new tornado sirens in conjunction with Millcreek Township. There are two new tornado sirens in Millcreek Township – with one pictured above at the intersection of Jerome Road and Watkins Road and the other at the township building. The other two sirens are in Jerome Township at Fire Station 211 and the Jerome Cemetery. The tornado sirens are slated to be tested every Wednesday at 12 p.m. (Photo submitted)
