From Marysville Division of Police reports:

Police were dispatched to a parking lot in the 17800 block of Route 31 at 11:47 a.m., Monday, for a report of theft against a business. The case is marked as closed.

From Ohio State Highway Patrol reports:

A trooper responded to Middleburg-Plain City Road near Streng Road at 3:45 p.m., July 30, for a property damage crash involving a 2017 Honda Accord that was struck by a deer while traveling north.

Jazay J. Jacobsen, 20, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to control following a property damage crash. At 9:33 a.m., July 31, Jacobsen was driving a 2012 Honda Accord northwest on U.S. 33 when he hydroplaned, ran off the roadway to the right, struck a ditch and then an embankment. No injuries were reported.

Carstan B. Perkins, 20, of Marysville, was cited for failure to control after an injury crash. At 1:55 a.m., Saturday, Perkins was driving a 2005 Honda motorcycle westbound on U.S. 33 and attempting to exit on the ramp to U.S. 42. He failed to maintain control, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and was partially ejected from the motorcycle. The Jerome Township Fire Department and EMS treated Perkins for minor injuries and he was not transported.

A trooper responded to U.S. 33 near milepost eight at 12:44 a.m., Monday, for a property damage crash involving a 2022 Honda Accord that struck a deer while driving southeast.

From Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:

A deputy was sent to a business in the 28000 block of Route 739 at 7:48 a.m., Monday, to investigate the theft of building material. A report was taken.

Blayne L. George, 38, of Columbus, was cited for failure to control following an injury crash. At 9:07 a.m., Monday, George was driving a 2019 Dodge Challenger on U.S. 33 near the Beecher Gamble Road overpass and struck a 2013 Hyundai Elantra and a 2023 Nissan Rogue. Deputies and units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Jerome Township Division of Fire and Pleasant Valley Joint Fire District responded to the scene and a report was taken.

Deputies were sent to a residence in the 8600 block of Frazier Drive Monday to investigate a report of an unruly juvenile at 3:58 p.m. The juvenile was transported to the Central Ohio Youth Center and a report was taken.

A deputy was sent to the Union County Justice Center to investigate a private property damage crash involving a 2023 Honda Civic that struck a 2019 GMC Denali at 4:26 p.m., Monday. A report was taken.

A deputy and a unit from the Northwestern Joint Fire District were sent to a residence on May Street in Magnetic Springs at 5:01 p.m., Monday, for a person experiencing a mental health crisis. The individual was transported to Memorial Hospital and no report was taken.

Deputies and a unit from the Northwestern Joint Fire District were sent to a home in the 23000 block of Morse Road Monday for a person threatening self-harm at 5:11 p.m. The person was transported to Memorial Hospital and no report was taken.

A deputy assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol Monday with a property damage crash on Route 161 near Post Road at 5:17 p.m. The Ohio State Highway Patrol handled the investigation.

At 5:26 p.m., Monday, a deputy was sent to a residence in the 22000 block of Route 347 to investigate threatening text messages. No report was taken.

In the 13000 block of Clark Drive Monday, a deputy was sent to a home at 5:28 p.m. to investigate a dispute between household members. No report was taken.

A deputy met with a Columbus police officer on Monday to take custody of Donald R. Gaines, 65, of Woodstock, for an outstanding arrest warrant at 5:39 p.m. He was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.

Deputies were sent to a home in the 17000 block of Allen Center Road Monday to investigate a dispute between a father and son at 7:07 p.m. No report was taken.
