Area remembers 9/11

Local first responders and residents gathered Thursday morning at the fire station next to City Hall for a ceremony to remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Above, the Marysville Fire Department Honor Guard presents the colors, before the backdrop of a large American flag held by extended ladder trucks. Below, retired Marysville Chief Gary Johnson carries out the 5-5-5 bell ringing tradition, used during the time of telegraph when a firefighter died in the line of duty.
