Write-in candidates tallied

Union County Board of Elections officials Michelle Forrider, shown above at left, and Brandon Clay, shown at right, tally write-in candidate votes Wednesday after the Nov. 4 general election. Officials said the voter turnout was a little bit higher this year than anticipated at 27%, given there were no major state or federal items on the ballot.
