Honoring veterans
Communities around Union County planned special events in honor of Veterans Day on Tuesday. A dedication ceremony was held for the newest historical marker at the old Ohio National Guard Armory on Fourth Street Tuesday morning. Officials from the county, city and state attended the unveiling of the marker, which was made possible through the Ohio History Connection. Pictured above, Ohio Rep. Tracy Richardson, left, assists in revealing the marker alongside Union County Historical Marker Committee chairperson Mardy Hanlon-Stolte, Bo Johnstone with the Union County Historical Society and Andy Verhoff with Ohio History Connection.
