Unionville gets new tornado siren

Unionville Center’s newly installed tornado siren, shown above to the right of the older one, is ready for operation. A new siren was part of recent federal Community Development Block Grant funding received by the village. Program funds also went to repaving the village’s streets.

The Union County Airport began its first 2026 board meeting on Tuesday approving the budget for the new year. As part of the budget conversations, the board discussed the final steps to completely paying off the construction of the new 15-unit t-hangars.
