Local girls hoopsters earn Central Buckeye Conference accolades

The Mad River Division champion North Union Lady Cats finished the 2025-2026 basketball season unbeaten in the division for the fifth consecutive year.

NU posted a 10-0 record in Central Buckeye Conference divisional games and tallied a 19-4 overall mark for the season.

The contest against No. 18 Cristo Rey Columbus was originally scheduled to be played on Friday at 7 p.m. on the Pioneers’ court. The Division IV post-season game has been moved to this Thursday at 7 p.m. The reason for the change is that Jonathan Alder officials on Friday will be setting up the gym for boys and girls sectional wrestling tournaments that will be held Saturday and Sunday.
