Ratterman makes the stage at the Oscars

Union County had some representation at the 98th Academy Awards Sunday night after Director Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” won the Oscar for best picture. Included in the celebration on-stage was Plain City area local James Ratterman, pictured above in the front row and to the left of the three cast and crew members holding Oscar trophies that the film took home; including one for best adapted screenplay and another for best director. Ratterman played the role of “Danvers” in the film alongside the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn, who also won an Oscar for best supporting actor.
