Rail crossings closed for repairs

Multiple railroad crossings in the city will be closed beginning todays CSX crews complete track repairs.

According to a city notice, the closures will impact East Fifth Street, Cherry Street and a private drive. Each location will be fully closed to traffic while work is underway, with no vehicles permitted to cross the tracks.

Officials said each closure is expected to last between two and five days, though the schedule may vary depending on conditions.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and expect delays during the repair period.
