Star spangled hydrants
As part of the city’s America 250 celebrations, the Marysville Art League is helping to paint over 20 fire hydrants around town, starting with the ones closest to Main Street and working their way outward. Pictured above are local artists Lane Caldwell, left, and Jude Flood, right, who recently painted the hydrant across from city hall. About 8-10 separate artists are confirmed to be painting at least one fire hydrant with their own unique designs, though each hydrant must use a patriotic red, white and blue color palette.
