During a Thursday house fire on Watkins Road, volunteers from the Union County Emergency Management Agency helped firefighters by setting up seating areas with fans and water to keep responders cool while working the fire in over 90-degree temperatures. One Marysville firefighter was transported to the hospital during a residential fire on Thursday, though it wasn’t from fire-related injuries but instead from side-effects of the recent heat wave.
