Eight vehicles involved in Monday crash
East Fifth Street was bogged down around noon on Monday after a white pickup truck hauling a lawn mower, pictured above, failed to stop traveling west through the Plum Street intersection and crashed into both parked vehicles and stopped traffic. Officials with the Marysville Police Department said that eight total vehicles were damaged. The driver of the truck, Rusty Fields, had experienced a medical emergency and was seriously injured as a result of the crash. He was transported to a local hospital and later flown to a Columbus hospital. Fields has not yet been cited and no drugs or alcohol are suspected in the crash.
