Marysville High School girls tennis coach Bill Romine feels youngsters entering the third grade are at the right stage of life to learn about tennis.

“If a youngster expresses an interest in tennis, the third grade is about the time to get a racket in their hands,” he said.

Volleyball camp has Yuletide feel

Marysville High School’s youth volleyball camp had a “Christmas in July” theme on Tuesday. Lady Monarch instructors and campers came dressed in Christmas-type garb and continued instruction on volleyball skills while Christmas music was played in the background. The camp began on Monday and will run through Thursday with a different theme every day.
