A night for royalty in Union County

Marysville, Fairbanks and Jon Alder hold homecomings

Above, Marysville High School (MHS) and Early College High School (ECHS) announced their Homecoming kings and queens Friday before the game against Dublin Jerome. Crowned were, from left to right, MHS king Mamous Saidy, MHS queen Maddie Forrester, ECHS queen Olivia Yakali, and ECHS king Jericho Libiran. The Monarchs went on to lose the game 45-12.

Fairbanks High School crowned its 2026 fall Homecoming royalty Friday evening. Miley Counts (left) was named the Homecoming queen, while Jacob Williams was named the king. The Homecoming dance will be held today from 7-10 p.m. at the high school. The Panthers fell to West Liberty-Salem, 33-27 in double overtime.
