The Village of Plain City is seeking participants for its upcoming Fourth of July parade and celebration. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. July 4. Those interested in participating in the parade are required to register in advance. Registrations must be received by 2 p.m. July 2 in order to be entered in the parade. Registrants will be entered into judging for the award competition and their organization will be announced during the parade. The Village of Plain City’s Parks and Recreation Department recently hosted a goat yoga class. Katherine Harrison of Harrison Farm, in Groveport, and Dana Bernstein of Bern Yoga, based in Columbus, welcomed Plain City residents for an adventurous yoga class featuring the farm’s friendly goats. The hour-long, beginner friendly class gave participants an opportunity to interact with the goats, named Elvis Juice, Krispy Kreme, Ferris Bueller, Cameron and The Empress. According to Marysville Police Department reports: Nicholas John Cox, 52, of Capac, Michigan was cited for disorderly conduct (intoxication) in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 1:38 a.m. Tuesday. According to Plain City Police Department reports: Officers and fire personnel from Station 261 were dispatched to North Avenue at 8:42 p.m. June 7 in reference to a reported gas leak. An officer was on patrol and observed a silver Kia sedan with no visible registration at 6:42 p.m. June 7. The officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Moussa Korera. A trio of local golfers was among the top placers during a rain-shortened Heart of Ohio junior event on Tuesday. Inclement weather limited the event at Lincoln Hills in Upper Sandusky to nine holes for older age brackets. It was the first event of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association season. Alex Crowe of Fairbanks tied with Pleasant’s Alex Pratt for fourth in the 16-18 division. They both shot 40s. Minoh Shay of Pleasant won the division with a one-under-par 35.
