Early morning workouts were put on hold this morning after what officials are calling “a duct detector malfunction” caused the Union County Family YMCA, and the attached child care center, to be evacuated. The malfunction originated in the pool area and caused he YMCA to be closed for more than an hour. Officials from the Marysville Division of Fire were contacted about 6:10 a.m. and searched the building. According to Marysville Police Department reports: Kerry Lee Besece, 57, of Richwood was cited for operation of vehicle at stop signs and leaving the scene of an accident in the 200 block of Collins Avenue at 7:54 p.m. Friday. Reports indicate the citations stemmed from a Nov. 25 hit-skip complaint in which Besece allegedly traveled through an intersection and struck the right rear quarter panel of another vehicle, then failed to stop after the accident.
