Cameron broke the tape with a time of 20:20.9, while Hoover was clocked in 20:37.5. North Union’s girls won the team title with 42 points. According to Marysville Police Department reports: Craig E. Jones, 48, of Marion was arrested on a warrant service arrest in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 2:46 p.m. Monday. Reports indicate Jones missed a court date for a driving under suspension citation. He reportedly thought the court date was Monday, but it was the week prior. Because of COVID-19 precautions, many schools and communities will not be hosting a homecoming parade this year. Since residents can’t go to a parade, local officials are hoping to be creative and take the parade to participants. Marysville High School and Early College High School will host a reverse parade for this year’s homecoming celebration. Marysville’s boys varsity golf team won the Union County Classic Saturday morning. The Monarchs carded a 314 and edged Jonathan Alder by three strokes (317). Fairbanks shot a 363. Brady Fox of JA was the match medalist with a 72. Monarch scores were Gavin Cossette and Andrew Rabe-75 and Caden Fulkerson and Justin DeHoff-82. This marked the first time the Pioneers had not won the tournament since 2016. Other JA scores were Tyler Ogg-79 and Matthew Fox and Brandon Gargac-83.
