Managing editor Chad Williamson and sports editor Tim Miller are currently waging a fierce battle for the top of the Pigskin Pickers. Both posted 8-1 records last week. Members of the Marysville High School and Early College High School Homecoming courts were recently announced. The queen and king of each school will be announced prior to Friday’s football game against Olentangy. Tonight from 6-6:30 p.m. a reverse Homecoming Parade will be held, in which members of the football team, cheerleading squad, band and other groups will spread out in the downtown area. Terry Lee Ambroz, 77, of Apache Junction, Arizona and formerly of Marysville died Wednesday, June 10 in Apache Junction. He was a retired cytologist and a 1961 graduate of Marysville High School. He was born Feb. 16, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Leland Carl and George Ann Coder Ambroz. He is survived by a number of cousins. According to Marysville Police Department reports: Craig E. Jones, 48, of Marion was arrested on a warrant service arrest in the 1200 block of W. Fifth Street at 2:46 p.m. Monday. Reports indicate Jones missed a court date for a driving under suspension citation. He reportedly thought the court date was Monday, but it was the week prior. Because of COVID-19 precautions, many schools and communities will not be hosting a homecoming parade this year. Since residents can’t go to a parade, local officials are hoping to be creative and take the parade to participants. Marysville High School and Early College High School will host a reverse parade for this year’s homecoming celebration.
