The Fairbanks girls soccer team cracked the .500 mark with a 3-2 win over Southeastern on Thursday. The Lady Panthers improved to 6-5 with the victory. Elaina Lahmers scored two goals, while Ellie Carter added one. Above, Monarch cheerleaders at the corner of Fifth and Main streets react to passing vehicles during Marysville’s Reverse Homecoming Parade Wednesday night. In years past, athletic teams, the homecoming court and members of a variety of other groups would ride the parade route in trucks, wagons and floats. This year, because of the pandemic, students played the role of spectators, spreading out along the downtown streets as a variety of decorated vehicles drove past them, honking, waving and sometimes throwing candy. Terry Lee Ambroz, 77, of Apache Junction, Arizona and formerly of Marysville died Wednesday, June 10 in Apache Junction. He was a retired cytologist and a 1961 graduate of Marysville High School. He was born Feb. 16, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Leland Carl and George Ann Coder Ambroz. He is survived by a number of cousins.
