Blues Creek Golf Course will be the site of a benefit golf scramble on Saturday, June 27. The event will be in memory of Charlie Baesmann II, who died as the result of a traffic accident in 2010. There will be a sign-up fee for individual players or four-person teams. The fee will include a meal and 18 holes of golf with a cart. COVID-19 testing for any individual who has symptoms of the virus will be available in Union County beginning Wednesday. The drive-thru testing will be provided by the county’s community health center, Lower Lights Christian Health Center, with assistance from the Union County Health Department. Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health previously targeted testing based on priority, namely those with symptoms who were hospitalized or healthcare workers.
